One of the most recently opened international shared services centers in the Czech Republic is the Johnson & Johnson’s centre JNJ Global Business Services s.r.o. (JNJ GBS). This finance centre started its operations in October 2006 in Prague and plans to grow up to a size of approximately over 300 employees in next three years. As of today, this centre partly covers the global finance services for Johnson & Johnson (J&J) affiliates throughout Western Europe. The centre operates in eight languages and the scope will be gradually extended to the entire European or other regions.
JNJ Global Business Services plays a pivotal role in three J&J global projects focusing on finance services for J&J companies.
The AP2PLE project focuses on the effective organization of the European Procure-to-Pay processes. JNJ Global Business Services provides all accounts payables related services (e.g. invoice processing), customer service support to suppliers and internal business partners and global supplier database administration.
The Ap2pollo project optimizes J&J U.S. Accounts Payable Processes – all U.S. invoice processing activities will be handled by JNJ Global Business Services as of October 2008.
FASE is a project designed to support the business in successfully achieving the Business Services Vision, to deliver Excellence in Finance and Order Fulfilment in support of Growth and Value Creation.
JNJ Global Business Services will provide centralized services in the areas of “Account To Report”, Fixed Assets accounting, General Ledger accounting and “Order To Cash” process.
